Product Brief
The Aluminium Alloy 5754 Sheets & Plates are alloys in the wrought magnesium-aluminum family. It is a 5000-series aluminum alloy, the main alloying addition is magnesium, it is very similar to 5052 aluminum metal.
Alloy 5754 aluminum sheet plate sheet is sold basic materials but with high ductility and elongation, also have very good corrosion resistance, very small tension of the basic materials.
As a wrought alloy, it can be formed by rolling, extrusion, and forging, but not casting. It can be worked to produce tempers with a higher strength but lower ductility.
Alternate names and designations include:
1. AlMg3
2. 3.3535
3. and A95754.
5754 Chemical Composition (For Reference)
5754 aluminium alloy is an alloy in the wrought aluminium -magnesium family (5000 or 5xxx series). It is closely related to the alloys 5154 and 5454. Of the three 5×54 alloys, 5754 aluminium is the least alloyed (highest composition % of aluminium), but only by a small amount. It is used in similar applications.
Since the 5754 aluminum alloys contain highest % aluminium composition it gets used in numerous applications. Other than aluminium it contains elements such as iron, silicon, manganese, copper, chromium, magnesium, and zinc.
Chemical Composition conforms to Chinese, American and European standard specification

5754 aluminum sheet plate temper
The most common tempers for 5754 aluminium are shown below with H111 being the most common treadplate temper
-
O – Soft
-
H111 – Some work hardening imparted by shaping processes but less than required for H11 temper
-
H22 – Work hardened by rolling then annealed to quarter hard
-
H24 – Work hardened by rolling then annealed to half hard
-
H26 – Work hardened by rolling then annealed to three-quarter hard
Applications of 5754 aluminum plate sheets:
Typical uses include: body panels and interior parts for the automotive industry. It can also be used for food processing, shipbuilding, and floor applications
Alloy 5754 aluminum plate sheet has excellent corrosion resistance especially to seawater and industrially polluted atmospheres. It has higher strength than 5251.
This high strength makes 5754 highly suited to marine applications requiring a combination of strength and resistance to corrosion in sea water and flooring applications.
5754 aliminum sheet and plates standard
5754 aliminum alloy and its various tempers are covered by the following standards:
ASTM B 209: Standard Specification for Aluminium and Aluminium-Alloy Sheet and Plate
